Hi, I’m Dave — and Paw Branch came about because, put simply... dogs deserve better and so does our planet.

I’ve run a successful hire business for years, but at home, it was a different kind of chaos.
Our dog Luigi has always been spoiled — not just on his birthday either. We love seeing him happy, so we’d pick up new toys for him all the time. But no matter what we tried, it was always the same story.

We tried the so-called “tough” toys — the ones sold at supermarkets and discount retailers, labelled as strong, durable, or long-lasting.
But even though he’s a small dog, Luigi would always find a corner or weak spot to gnaw away at.

And once a piece came off? That was it. We knew it wasn’t safe — he’d go straight back at it and could end up swallowing it. Into the bin it went.
They just never lived up to what it said on the tin.

Week after week.
Toy after toy.
And every time, one of us — usually me or my wife Cathy — would say,
“Why can’t we just find a decent toy that’s chewable, playful, and actually lasts?”

The waste was frustrating.
The cost? Even worse.
And don’t get me started on the amount of cheap plastic and so-called “tough rubber” going to landfill — all of it non-biodegradable.
It’s not just a shame for our Luigi... it’s a shame for the planet, too.

That’s when I decided: enough’s enough.

I was going to find and source better eco friendly toys and treats — not just for birthdays, but for everyday happiness too.

That included treats made with 100% natural ingredients — no weird additives, no nasties — just proper good stuff you’d feel confident feeding your dog.

Things that were safer for Luigi, longer-lasting, better for the planet, and — let’s be honest — healthier for my pocket as well.

And that’s how Paw Branch was born.

A New Member of the Pack

While building Paw Branch, our family grew too. We recently welcomed Zeus, a blue and tan German Shepherd pup. At just three months old he already weighs a whopping 17 kg — a big, loving bundle of fur, teeth and energy. He and Luigi have become best friends, and Luigi has proudly promoted him to Second-in-Command Toy Tester.

We’ve spent months behind the scenes testing, sourcing, and building something that actually feels special — without the guilt, and without the waste.

As part of our commitment to sustainability, we’ve also made a simple but powerful promise:
for every birthday or gift box sold, we’ll plant a tree. 🌳
